When owner Dominique Gill was a young mother, she struggled to find quality, affordable child care. She had dreams of becoming a kindergarten teacher, and taking a position at her son’s daycare steered her closer to a career in early childhood education.
Dominique earned her Child Development Associate®, and when her son’s daycare center closed, she moved on to providing loving home care while looking for a facility that would meet her community’s needs. In September 2020, Unique Kids Childcare opened its doors with Dominique waiting to welcome families with unmatched love and educational opportunities.
Through her experience as a child care provider and as the mother of a family that includes biological, foster, and adopted children, Dominique knows that every child is different and has something unique to offer the world. Rooted in that belief, she has the passion, dedication, and expertise to help every UNIQUE CHILD SHINE.
The Frog Street© early learning curriculum begins in infancy and takes your child through Pre-K with monthly themes, stories, songs, sensory and dramatic play, and hands-on group and individual activities that teach colors and shapes, language and literacy, numbers and math, science, social studies, and other foundational concepts.
Teachers work directly with you to determine your child’s unique strengths and areas for growth. Utilizing the trusted Love and Logic® philosophy, gentle redirection, and support for social-emotional and practical skills, teachers help your little one learn to express and regulate their emotions, be kind and respectful in the classroom, and develop good table manners and hygiene habits that will carry them through life with confidence and independence.
Your child takes advantage of a HUGE outdoor area where they run, climb, and play on grassy lawns and classic playground equipment and venture out on guided nature walks on trails in the woods around us! They build up crucial muscle groups and refine their gross motor skills, all while having fun.
